The Role

As Splash Damage’s AI Programmer, you will be responsible for creating and refining the Artificial Intelligence for both multi-player and single-player components of our games. Reporting to the Lead Gameplay Programmer and close to the Gameplay and Design teams, you will work on the design, implementation and support of all AI gameplay systems, tools and pipelines. With a focus on clarity, reusability and performance, you will not only contribute to the creation and deployment of new techniques or middleware, but also improve, debug, maintain and document the existing AI-related code base.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Practical and demonstrable professional experience with AI programming in the context of videogames
  • Strong interest in researching and implementing new AI related technologies
  • Experienced and proficient in C++
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, portable code
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Strong math skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Professional experience with gameplay and multiplayer programming
  • Professional experience with UE4.
  • Experience with multi-threaded development
  • Multiplatform and Console development experience
  • Experience with content driven development
